October Fun

Happy Fall! We are fully immersed in our fourth-grade curriculum and starting to prepare for our first field trip at the end of the month! This is the first time we will be going to Mission San Francisco Solano and the students can hardly contain their excitement.

The students have been learning and growing every day, both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to our academic subjects, we have been working on being empathic toward others. Seeing situations from different perspectives can be difficult, however it is essential for problem solving.

Inside the classroom, we are powering through curriculum. We are hard at work learning concepts, such as note taking strategies, opinion writing pieces, multiplication, and California history to name a few.

It’s hard to believe we’re already in October. I have enjoyed every minute of it!

An exciting start to the New Year!

Welcome back to school and to a fabulous fourth grade year! I am so excited to be working with you and your children this year. It was wonderful seeing so many of you at Back to School Night. I was able to catch up with many parents who have been through fourth grade before, while also meeting and getting to know new parents.

We are hard at work in here fourth grade. The students have been busy learning the classroom expectations and procedures, in addition to our regular curriculum. We've been working on concepts such as place value, finding the main idea, and California's geographical features.

The students were also able to meet their Kindergarten buddies last week, which was a very exciting day for both the fourth graders and the Kindergarteners! We will be spending some time with the little ones throughout the school year doing special activities and attending Mass together.

I look forward to a great year!
